This puzzle started out as a conventional Rubik's Cube.  I used a hack saw to cut off angles.  Magic Sculp filled the hollow cubies and filled out the exterior angles that were required.  After much sanding to get the surfaces and angles perfect, it was painted with dark purple model paint.  The colors you see are vinyl adhesive stickers.
